Editorial Standards
How moblphone.com is put together, and what you should hold it to.
Who publishes this
moblphone.com is published by Moblworld LLC. Articles are attributed to MoblPhone Editorial rather than to individual bylines, because the work is editorial process rather than personal expertise, and we would rather name the process than invent a personality for it.
Moblworld LLC is an Arizona limited liability company (Scottsdale / Phoenix Metro Area, Arizona, USA). Corporate, partnership and verification details are at Moblworld LLC — Corporate Governance & Partnership Hub.
We are editors reading published sources, not engineers or a test lab, and we do not claim credentials we do not have. Nothing here is professional advice.
How we check what we publish
MoblPhone covers a small set of phone accessories rather than the whole market.
Compatibility and key specifications are read from the brand's own product page, never from a retailer listing, and each is published with the date it was read and a link to the source.
Where a product is sold as Qi2-certified, we look it up in the Wireless Power Consortium's public Qi certification registry and record the Qi ID, the certified power profile and the certification date; if we cannot find the entry, the page says so and the claim is labeled as the brand's.
Compatibility is recorded as three lists: the phones the brand says fit, the phones it says do not, and any condition it attaches, such as a magnetic case; a phone the brand does not name is never called compatible.
We have not used every product we list, and we say which ones we have and what we have not checked.
Rankings are set against stated criteria before any commercial relationship is considered.
What we do not do
- We do not run automated feeds. Figures are read by hand from the source that publishes them. There is no live scan behind this site, and we will not pretend otherwise.
- We do not publish invented scores. No proprietary index, no star ratings, no review counts. If we ever show a rating, it will be one we can explain how we calculated.
- We do not quote other comparison sites. A figure comes from the company that issues it or it does not get published.
- We do not cover the whole market. We track a small set of products properly rather than a large set badly.
Dates, and why they are on every figure
Every figure carries the date it was checked. That is unusual, and it cuts against us: it is an admission that a number can go stale, on a page where a competitor would simply show the number. We think that trade is worth making. A rate with no date on it is not a fact, it is a claim about an unspecified moment in the past. The same goes for a compatibility claim: phones and accessories are revised, and "fits" is only ever true as of a date.
If a date looks old, treat the figure as stale and follow the source link. That is what it is there for.
Corrections
We check by hand and products, rates and specifications change without notice, so we will sometimes be wrong. If you find something out of date or incorrect, tell us and we will fix it and change the date.
